Speccing


Each player should start off by prefiring maiden from 10 tiles away (tbow max range) as they’re running in to perform their special attack for their role.  


In order to reduce maiden to 0 defense, the following combinations must be hit:


DWHBGS

1123
298


After 2 dragon warhammer specs they become less effective than a bgs, hence why a combo of a DWH and BGS is best. 



The range & melee DPS should start by prefiring, switching to melee gear, then immediately DWHing maiden.  Mage and melee freeze should start by prefiring, switching to melee gear, delaying 1 tick, and BGSing maiden.


At this point, all players should look at the spec box displayed from the easyparty.  All players should be at 50% spec.  If it’s not at, above, or reasonably close (within 10 bgs damage) of the thresholds posted above, the mage should BGS again.  If it’s still not close, melee freeze should BGS again.  If it’s still not close, it’s doomed, but range should use their BGS to spec again.  

If it’s still not close I guess the melee dps can also back up but alternatively you could just stand on blood and afk.


This will reduce maiden to 0 defense as fast as possible and allow all scythe swings to be on minimal defense.


From here, the freezers (mage & melee freeze) should head back to the line where they tbowed from & tbow from max range.


Here is an example of a mage prefiring, delaying the BGS, then heading to the tbow line.



Stack


70s


At 70% hp, the first set of crabs will spawn from maiden.

Freezing is broken up as follows: S12 / N1234


This allows the south mage to immediately start blowpiping the south 1 crab without missing ticks.


Throughout this section, range & melee DPS are scything maiden.  At this point, they can ignore the crabs that spawned.  Both range & melee DPS should use their dragon claw special attack after 70% crabs spawned but before 50% crabs spawned to add extra DPS to assure a smooth/quick push.  


The south mage is the only really interesting role here.  The S1 should be frozen immediately, S2 should be clumped.  The mage should check the chat box/pay attention in voice chat, though, and if the north freeze is late, freeze either 3s or 4s depending what they are told to do.



North mage should freeze their N1 immediately, N2 immediately, 3s immediately, then 4s immediately.  The mage can tell if they’re on tick by referring to the tiles below:

For the north 1 spawn, the mage is on tick if the crab lands in the green square.  Freeze as normal, N1234.


The mage is 1 tick behind if the crab lands in the blue square.  Immediately tell the south mage to catch 3s.  Freeze N12, shoot a sang hit at N1, then freeze 4s.


The mage is 2 ticks behind if the crab lands in the orange square.  Immediately tell the south mage to catch 3s.  Freeze N12, wait 2-3 ticks, then freeze 4s.  




If no N2 or S2 spawns, the 5 ticks for freezing can be replaced with a TBow hit assuming the N1/S1 is frozen on tick.


Once 4s are frozen, the north mage should check maiden’s HP bar before switching out of mage gear.  If it’s below 55%, get ready to freeze, above 55% you can send 1 tbow hit then get ready to freeze.  South mage should switch to mage gear at about 52%.  




50s


At 50% hp, the second set of crabs will spawn from maiden.

Freezing is broken up as follows: S123 / N1234


The crabs should be frozen on top of the 70s ones which are still frozen in their spot.  This allows the ice barrage to damage the new crabs, but also finish off the 70s ones that are still about half hp.


The melee DPS should scythe the N1 stack and hit both crabs.  If the push is slow, the melee DPS should focus the old N1.


The ranger should scythe the N2 stack and hit both crabs.  After scything it once, the ranger should stand 4-6 tiles away from the clump and use black chins to kill the clump.  The ranger should continue chinning until the entire clump is dead.


The mage should finish off the 50s S1 with a blowpipe.


The melee freeze should finish off the 50s N1 and N2 with a blowpipe.  


Once crabs are dealt with, the mage & melee freeze should go back to tbowing the boss and melee and range should focus on venging the mage/melee freeze.



Skip



Usually the mage/mfrz will discuss before the raid who’s getting what on the skip.  Breakdowns are usually either S12/N1234, S123/N124, or S124/N123.  Any of the options work, but S123/N124 or S124/N123 are preferred since they allow both mages to get claw specs off faster.  If the 3s and 4s are split (1 freezer doing each), 4s should be frozen immediately after freezing 2s and will clump with each other, but will not clump with the 3s.


If there are remaining specs from the beginning, mages should claw maiden after freezing while focusing on rotating the tank to take off-prayer venges.  Skips are very straightforward -- click the boss and it’s pretty much free.
