Maddy's 99 Cooking guide

Hello guys and here is my 1-99 cooking guide on how i achieved my 99 cooking in Old School Runescape.


Getting started

I highly recommend getting Cooking gauntlets as soon as you can it does not take long at all.

Requirements for the cooking gauntlets are

- Family crest quest

I also Highly Recommend getting 100% Hosidius favor as you can now then use the Hosidius Ovens that will reduce burn rate by 5% and even more with your cooking gauntlets. Only 6 tiles away from a bank making it a bonus!

If you don't want to use the Hosidius ovens then you can go right to rouges Den by using a games necklace and choosing burthrope games room and run south to the pub and down the stairs.


Levels 1-4

I recommend doing the Cooks assistant quest  as this will take you right from levels 1-4 in 2 minutes or even 30 seconds!

Items needed for quest   1 egg, 1  bucket of milk , 1 pot of flour.


Levels 4-15

Cooking shrimps

- Time: 2 Minutes
- Exp/Hr 35k


Levels 15-35

Cooking trout

- Time: 10 Minutes
- Exp/Hr:  85k

Levels 35-50

Cooking Tuna

- Time: 40 minutes
- Exp/Hr: 120k

790 raw tunas cooked = 45k profit



Levels 50-75

Cooking Lobsters

- Time: 8-9 hours
- Exp?hr: 120k-170k xp

1m gp Profit


Levels 75-90

Cooking Monk fish  ( gauntlets Needed! )

-Exp/Hr  170k

65k gp Profit made per hour


Levels 90-97

Cooking Shark


- Wont burn any sharks after 88 @ Hosidius Clay ovens.
-260k Exp/Hr
-1.2k cooked per hour

Levels 97-99

Cooking Angler fish

230 Exp/Hr

You will Make low profit from this but you will gain slightly faster xp.


This is how i got my 99 cooking it might not be the best methods but feel free to give it a read and use it

Cooking and herbloring are very usefull skills when you are playing solo so its really worth skilling them.

Thats an excellent guide with someone who has 99 cooking already i give this a thumbs up. Some great alternatives if you have the money can be wines very quick or a cheaper method is sharks. Depends on what fishing levels, stats, money a player has there are many ways a person can reach 99 cooking such as this guide.
