Check your ping to servers!

Hello all

I wanted to share this little "trick" to see what your ping is to certain servers to reduce lag.

All you need is Command prompt.

Open command prompt and type the following: "ping oldschool*.runescape.com" *world number like 17,04,14 etc"

Outcome: https://imgur.com/a/6SDXR

And it will tell your ping in ms.
remember W314 and W317 are clan worlds!

I found that w12 is the optimal for me, but w17 and w14 work fine

EDIT:

Grats on 800 posts! and no problem, i would recommend 17 since its like half the ping of 14. But what works, works right?

And you can use the tracert command to find the path that your packets take to get to the server.



This is from NZ to one of the Aussie worlds, notice how there is a big jump in ping at 208.50.202.130.

Lets look up 208.50.202.130:
