I'm Magexing, a 28 year old archaeologist in new york. I'm a long time scaper and am just looking for a chill clan to hang out with. I've been hanging out as a friend for a month or so now but I'd like to be a full member since I've enjoyed my time in the chat so much.

And being an archaeologist is fun. When i'm not in school I'm excavating roman archaeology in italy and also doing local contract work for construction companies looking for native american materials before a new building is constructed. super nerd here, but i'm in good company i think haha. Happy to hear from you.

Welcome Mage! As a kid, I've always wanted to become an archaeologist, good to hear you're having fun with it I've become something else which I also really enjoy, so it's all good, but archaeology just keeps igniting a certain kind of excitement in me. Do you have any ambitions in the field? And what are your RS goals for now?

That's awesome!! I'm working towards being able to do consistent Barrows runs, in order to get my Fire Cape. One of the sexier items on a HCIM in my opinion!

Hey Mage, belated welcome to ya! I don't know anything about archaeology (at least not in the real, academic sense), but I do have a friend with an anthropology degree that hates when people mix the two up, haha. How far along are you in your studies? You manage to get published at all yet? Sounds like a super interesting career Getting to spend a significant portion of your time in Italy doesn't sound half bad either, lol

Thanks for the welcome. I've only just started my PhD so no publications yet. I've been working in Tuscany for the past few years and self-published my master's thesis. If you're interested in ancient Roman lamps check it out! lol
