how do i upload a picture

Basically you need to upload the picture from your PC, the link you tried is a PC Link, something you can access, but we need access to your PC to see it

There are different methods, I am a fan of the app called Gyazo, where you just mark an area and get a picture instantly and copy its direct link:

Another method is hosting an image through this offsite:
1) Click on the spot I marked in red

2) Click "Select File" and find the Picture on your PC like this:

3) Click send it to selected category/upload/blue button and you get this:

4) Do as you originally did with the 1st link so you get this:

Then I suggest getting Gyazo: Click on the word Gyazo

Can capture stuff in a few simple clicks and then you just right click the picture and pick 4th option, mine is in Danish but it basically says " Copy the direct link to picture" and then you insert it as a picture on the forums
