well played my friend! I kept trying to merch ely when they crashed, but didn't hold them long enough.

Any tips on someone trying to start with no past experience?

I buy high, sell low, or keep, and never check the value.....I think its called blissful ignorance it also means I don't make useful gains......listen to these guys..they know what to do.

Lucido I would start off with items with smaller margins, but less likely to lose you $.
I remember doing all the different chins for a long time. Buy 1 no matter the cost. Let's say grey chin for 880gp. And then you sell that grey chin and mark it down low enough for it to instant sell. Lets say 840gp. Your margin now is about 40gp each chin. So you buy grey chins now for 841gpea. You will start to see them flowing in, since you are paying more then whoever was buying them at 840. Once you get 7k (buy limit) you sell for 879 gp ea. Once you sell them you just made a little less then 280k. And it goes relatively fast. A lot of people need chins for training.

Also.. don't feel bad undercutting someone by 1gp. I did at first, but you will realize everyone does it, and once you sell your stack of chins, those people will start seeing theirs sell too.

Chins was just an example. If you want bigger margin items once you get the hang of it, pm me and I can fill you in on what is making decent $$.

I started my early merchanting by doing amylase, still doing them to this day. It's the same as what faith said, buy one at +5% then sell it at -5%. You'll find the lowest buy out, then up it by 1. It can be anywhere between 200-500k per every 4 hour, and it's one of the safe flip since they're always the same price.

And then there is barrow set which is usually 50k per set, with limit of 8, that equals to 400k per 4 hour. I usually do them in between slayer tasks. It was always fun coming back to check ge. Feel free to message if you need help.

Thus far, my flipping experience has been limited to taking a fairly hefty loss on a few Pharaoh's Scepters that I bought before the prospective Raids 3 announcement

I could probably make some money flipping those Ruby Dragon bolts I'm always fletching, but I'd kind of be cutting into my own market there, I think.
