i got banned for using a 3rd party client

hello everyone, sadly its me again.

i saw this morning, that my account got banned, i just downloaded yesterday a client that is not the original one.
how does this happen? i taught this clients are legal in terms of runescapes rules, from what i heard.

has this ever happend to anyone before?

What were you using. I've never had an issue using runelite.

I used it for a couple of hours before going offline and this noon i logged in the account is temporarily disabled

That's terrible, I'm sorry to hear that.

Was that the reason stated for your account being temporarily disabled? Did they say it was for using a 3rd party client specifically? I know runelite follows Jagex's rules for being a 3rd party client, but I am not sure if osbuddy follows the rules. Unless you were macroing or botting or using a autoclicker while playing, I don't think just using osbuddy would get you a ban unless jagex is specifically banning people who use 3rd party clients they don't approve of. Which I can't say for sure.
