Dicing
I felt this was an important topic to address as there have been many new and long-term returning players recently (especially due to mobile).
In nearly every world at the G.E there are dicing host, which is essentially gambling your GP in-game while trust trading another player.
I have reminded more than several players that participating in any sorts of gambling in-game is against the game rules, in other words, you are risking getting your account permanently banned. To my surprise, most players were not aware it was against the game rules, and simply thought it was "fun" or an easy way to make GP.
Not participating in these acts maintains the game's integrity and overall makes it a better game environment & community. I think its great that Jagex has taken action against gambling which has definitely restricted it greatly from growing. For those who remember how popular and harming it was in RS3 many years ago.
Wouldn't want to see any clan mates getting scammed or even worse banned.

Re: Dicing
Reporting these accounts will hopefully get rid of them in the long term and easily adds them to your ignore list as well so they no longer spam your chat

Re: Dicing
Absolutely right............I have a massive ignore list from the last few days, I wish there were some muting Pmods, or even visiting Jmods around. It amazes me just how many people place their trust in these gambling bots.......and until they stop so it is no longer massively profitable.....I don't see it ending. The incidence of beggars has also risen,..its not like they are struggling and on the street at Christmas....they have paid to play and are too lazy to leave ge and get involved in earning some money, whilst some do gooder feels self righteous for feeding their lazy ways, that and the toxicity make ge a very unpleasant place atm.

Yep, my ignore list is full of names that end with 'x2' seems to be the call sign for the gambling bots. since they change their names I don't doubt that they hack some aspiring gambler's account after they're done with them. Just ignore and move on get rich quick schemes don't work like that.

Re: Dicing
I noticed a pmod at ge last night, and all I heard was conversation going on!!!, I cleared my ignore list completely..........and there was no spamming apart from the odd beggar.
I thought the worst that can happen is that I have to re report them all again, which effectively is spamming Jagex and making more work for them, if they choose to do nothing about it.
If its become a priority, job well done by all those that take the time to report, no good sitting on the side lines and doing nothing, no reports = no problem, Jagex screens must have been in meltdown as the days progressed.

Re: Dicing
Solid post to bring awareness and keep our members safe, @Matt Ross!
My two cents: I report them every time and every weekend purge my ignore list. This lets me keep my ignore list relatively clean. More times than not, the accounts are changed daily (whether that be due to mutes or bans) and so keeping them on my ignore list poses no real benefit after a few days.
Be safe, be smart. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
